All the plants in this section are listed as hardy alpines but really they are probably best regarded as low growing perennials. Most are quite happy and easily grown with well drained soil that retains some moisture in an open position. Little maintenance is required apart from dead heading and trimming if untidy. All mail order alpines are grown in 7cm pots.

Flowering period is sometimes referred to as the number of the relevant month in the year . For example 6-7 indicates a flowering period of June to July.
